Clinical Research
The Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research  is
a national project conduction in collaboration
with the JAEB center, the National Eye
Instituties and the National Institutes of Health.
Our research also covers diabetic macular
edema and associated conditions.
The DRCR.net supports the identification,
design, and implementation of multi-center
clinical research initiatives focused on
diabetes-induced retinal disorders.
Principal emphasis is placed on clinical trials,
but epidemiologic outcomes and other
research may be supported as well.
The Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network was formed in September of
the National Eye Institute (N.E.I.). The N.E.I.is a part of the National Institutes of
Health, which is the branch of government that funds medical research.
